A PLANNING project to “reimagine” Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole town centres post-pandemic is hosting a launch event.

The BCP Future Lab is a commission by the R³ Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Group, to reimagine the region’s town centres in a co-creative research project with residents to determine a “collective vision for the future”.

After eight months of research and more than 530 face to face interviews, the BCP Future Lab will present concepts and designs that re-frame the town centre experience and prioritise social prosperity.

‘Future Stories: Tales From BCP Future Lab’ will be published on Thursday March 17, with a book launch and exhibition on the first floor of Bobby’s Department Store.

Following the event, the BCP Future Lab exhibition will be open to the public, showcasing the book content and work of the contributors.

The book launch will last from 2pm to 4pm and is open to schools and universities. From 4pm to 6.30pm will be the main launch event - with talks from contributors at 4.30pm.

The following day will see the start of the exhibition, which will last from Friday March 18 to Sunday March 27.

The exhibition will be open from 11am to 6pm Monday through to Saturday and 11am to 4.30pm on Sunday.

This event is free and open to all. Visit bcpfuturelab.org for more information.
