Visitors are being told to avoid the New Forest as experts assess the damage following Storm Eunice.

Forestry England, who manage the New Forest have tweeted to say: "A significant number of trees across the #NewForest have been blown over, damaged or weakened following yesterday's storm.

"It will take time for our team to fully assess the damage. A yellow warning for wind is still in place today. Please stay safe & do not visit at this time."

The storm took out a number of trees across the area, with roads blocked and power lines brought down.

Many people remain without power today as a result.
