This photo which is part of the Grahame Austin Collection was taken in the early 1970s in Poole, the open car park to the right of the photo could make you think it was taken near the Chapel Lane car park behind the High Street.
The photo is in fact showing the very end of Poole High Street on the corner of New Orchard Road before the High Street was pedestrianised.
Shops here included FADS Homecare Centre, A.I. Chinese Restaurant, Longlife, Michael and the Galleon Café Restaurant.
