EAGLE-EYED Bournemouth residents spotted something not quite right with this sign.
The ‘cylce lane’ sign in Bournemouth’s Upper Gardens was noticed by locals this week while they strolled through the gardens.
When the Daily Echo went to take a look, a man who had stopped to read the sign carefully laughed and said: “How are you supposed to pronounce that?”
Another man walking through the gardens said: “How did they not notice when they were putting it up?”
The sign was found where the Upper Gardens meets Queens Road.
BCP Council removed the sign yesterday afternoon and plans to fit a new one in its place.
A BCP Council spokesperson said: “We can confirm the sign has been removed and new signs will be installed tomorrow at no cost to BCP Council.
“The fabricator has taken responsibility for the error.”
