A boy has been charged with an alleged attempted robbery in Ferndown.
He is due to appear in court next month.
At around 3pm on Wednesday November 3 last year, the victim – a 16-year-old boy from East Dorset – was riding his bike along Pennys Walk toward Victoria Road when he was reportedly approached by another teenage boy, who demanded he hand over the bike and made repeated threats to harm him.
When the victim refused, it is alleged that the boy hit him on the head. He did not sustain any injuries.
Following enquiries, a 14-year-old boy from Wimborne was arrested in connection with the incident.
He has now been charged with attempted robbery and is due to appear at Poole Youth Court on Tuesday March 1.
