CHILDREN reportedly threw fireworks at a recreation ground where emergency services were called to a fire.
Police were called to Haskells Recreation Ground at around 4.30pm on Saturday, February 12.
A fire was also lit in the area with the fire service made aware.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “The group left the area at around 5.35pm and there were was no damage caused.”
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Police asked us to attend Haskells recreation ground on Haskells Road, Poole at 5.12pm on Saturday, one crew from Poole attended and found a small area of wasteland had been on fire but this was out on arrival.
“Police were in attendance so our stop was at 5.27pm and we left a few minutes after that.”
On Saturday, crews said they "had reason to believe" the fire was started deliberately.
