MYSELF and my sister went to Reading at the weekend to visit a relative.
We could not believe how tidy the streets were around and in the city centre.
There was no rubbish piled up in doorways, there was no shops boarded up, no litter lying around along the paths or streets, it was lovely to see.
Now today I had to go to the Lansdowne to wait for someone, I had to park in Cotlands Road, so while I was waiting I walked around.
I could not believe the amount of rubbish and broken glass in the car park itself and I had to pay to park my car there with broken glass everywhere, hoping that I would not get a puncture.
I then walked to the Old Fire Station in Holdenhurst Road and yet again the rubbish at the side of that building was horrendous.
At the front of that building where there was a fire still nothing has been done to tidy it up, the next building is all boarded up and yet again rubbish everywhere.
All along there to the Lansdowne roundabout is horrendous.
When are the councillors from BCP going to walk around the town including the Lansdowne and look at all this rubbish and dilapidated buildings like the Old Fire Station and get Bournemouth tidied up, yet they want people to come here for a holiday.
