HUNDREDS of thousands of people in Dorset took to the streets, parks and open spaces to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee.
Not since the Silver Jubilee 25 years beforehand had so many people enjoyed a carnival atmosphere in such fine weather.
Hundreds of events from street parties to fairs, and festivals to parades got under way as people got together to enjoy and remember 50 years of Elizabeth II’s reign.
In Bournemouth – and many of its suburbs – parades filled the streets with dazzling colour and spectacular sounds.
