MORE than 80 per cent of people in the Dorset Council area have received their third Covid-19 jab, according to the latest figures.
A list of the latest estimates of the proportion of people aged 18 and over in England who have received a booster or third dose of Covid-19 vaccine, broken down by local authority, has been released.
The figures have been compiled using NHS England data for vaccinations up to January 30 and population figures from the Office for National Statistics, which are the best publicly available official estimates.
It has revealed that 261,415 people (83.8 per cent) in the Dorset Council area are thought to have had their third jab.
The figures revealed that 72.8 per cent of people in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole have taken up their third vaccine.
The local authority with the highest percentage of people taking up the booster was Hart, with 87.3 per cent, which is almost double the lowest percentage on the list. Barking and Dagenham only had 44.4 per cent of its residents getting their third dose of the vaccine.
