A PAIR of Porsche 911’s and MG TFs will be featured a classic and vintage car auction.

Charterhouse in Sherbourne will host the auction on Wednesday March 3.

Charterhouse specialist, Richard Bromell said: "It’s a bit like London busses, you don’t see one all day and two come along at the same time."

The pair of Porsche are two 1980’s 911 Targa’s. Although similar specifications they are slightly different. There will be a 1989 911 painted in the classic Porsche colour of Guards red.

From long term ownership, this is in original condition with a leather interior is estimated at £38,000 to £42,000.

Alternatively, there will also be a 1982 911 which has been restored and re-painted in its original colour of Mocca brown with a brown and tan Pasha interior at £35,000-40,000.

If the 1980’s Porsches are too lively then a couple of 1950’s MG’s offer a more sedate driving experience.

There will be a cherry red 1954 MG TF 1250 which was exported in right hand drive to Australia estimated at £16,000-18,000, and is only being sold due to the owner focusing on his fast road Triumph TR2.

One year newer, and with the larger and more powerful engine is the black 1955 MG TF 1500 at £18,000-22,000. Originally exported to America, the owner has converted the MG to right hand drive. Despite owning the car 5 years, ill health has stopped him from ever driving his pride and joy and now he has given up driving.

Charterhouse are now accepting further entries for their March 3 auction of classic and vintage cars at the Haynes International Motor Museum and for their March 9 vintage motorcycle auction.
