IT IS the first weekend of February and events are starting to ramp up.

No matter what you're into, there's something for everyone this weekend in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. 

Here are some of the events taking place this weekend: 

Holistic Festival at the Poole Lighthouse

The Holistic Festival has grown into a hugely popular event and the organisers have said they are "looking forward to bringing you a superb show once more". 

With a fabulous array of stands to explore, therapies for try and a first class series of 40 talks and workshops, plus the ever popular children's programme and clairvoyance show, it promises to be a wonderful, bright weekend.

Join the nation’s favourite ballroom couple on their brand new tour.

Showtime is a glittering celebration that pays tribute to some of the world’s greatest icons of entertainment as Anton and Erin present world class dance inspired by an array of classic performers including Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Charlie Chaplin, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Liza Minelli, Elton John and many more.

With stunning costumes, fabulous live vocals, a high-energy West End dance ensemble and a sensational 23 piece orchestra.

Mother Ukers at Poole Hill Brewery

  • When? 3pm to 6pm on Sunday, February 6

The Mother Ukers are a Ukulele band performing covers and original material.

Playing songs from throughout the ages on their Ukuleles, the Mother Ukers are a three piece Ukulele band based in Dorset.

The Band take on modern day classics (1960's - present) with their tiny ukuleles and forge them into timeless wonders of a bygone era. 

Entry is free.

Funny Boiler presents Comedy at the Brass Haus in Bournemouth

  • When? 8pm on Sunday, February 6

A night of massive HAHAs from TV comedian Hal and the best up and coming talent including MAFS's Bob making his debut. Come early for 2-4-1 cocktails and 3 tapas for £14.

The line-up includes: Hal Cruttenden, Bob Voysey (Married At First Sight), Jake Steers, Neil Braeman, Mbaku, Glenn Braley and MC Victoria Garofalides.

Tickets cost £5.

The Vintage Kilo Sale at Citygate Church in Bournemouth

When? 10am on Saturday, February 5

The kilo slae is back at Bournemouth's Citygate Church where savvy shoppers and fashionistas can grab a kilo of clothes for £20. 

Offering tonnes of sustainable, vintage, retro and branded fashion items the rails are restocked throughout the day. 

Early Bird tickets are £3 and offer an hour of shoping before general admittance. 

General admission is £2 and children under 12 go free.
