A MAN has been fined by the courts after he reportedly boarded a train without a valid ticket.

Yousef Boulou, aged 36, was alleged to have committed the offence at Bournemouth Railway Station on July 19, 2021.

The case was dealt with at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 25, through the single justice procedure with the defendant not present in court.

Boulou, whose address was given as Purbeck Road, Bournemouth, had not entered a plea to the charge and the case against him was proved.

A lone magistrate issued a £220 fine, along with an order to pay £8.10 compensation, £34 surcharge and £140 costs.
