A MAN who was sitting in his car when a brick was put through the window, has been taken to hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following the incident in Bournemouth, which took place at around 9pm on Wednesday January 26 2022.

The victim – a local man aged in his 50s – was sitting in his car on Bennett Road at the junction with Avon Road when a man approached and pushed a brick through the window, causing it to smash.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to an injury to his eye.

The suspect is described as white, aged around 40 years old, approximately five feet nine inches tall and of stocky build with stubble.

He was wearing a grey T-shirt with a red stripe on each shoulder, dark-coloured jogging bottoms, white trainers and a beanie hat.

Police Constable Justyna Nicholas, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to please come forward.

“I would urge residents and motorists who were driving in the vicinity to please check their home CCTV system or dashcam for any footage to help my enquiries.”
