A TENT pitched on a gravestone in a Poole churchyard was being used by a wanted man.
Officers attended the graveyard in Longfleet Road after receiving reports of antisocial behaviour.
A spokesperson for Poole Police said: “PC Ash and PC Lee along with CSAS attended the area of Longfleet Road this morning following reports of antisocial behaviour taking place in the graveyard.
“One tent was located on the gravestones, advice was passed around on the effect this would have on loved ones, the male involved agreed and assisted us in removing the tent.
“Support was given to the homeless male in relation to housing and is accepting support from the services recommended.
“However, a PNC quick check revealed the male was wanted for offences in Bournemouth so he has since been arrested.”
