ENJOY a Brew Monday, not a Blue Monday.
That’s the message from the branch of Bournemouth Samaritans who are holding their first outreach event in nearly two years next week.
On Monday, January 17, volunteers will be at Bournemouth Train Station to encourage everyone to “have a cuppa and have a chat”.
With the assistance of South Western Railway, the Samaritans are encouraging visitors to enjoy a brew instead of feeling blue.
A spokesperson said: “At Samaritans, we don't want anyone to struggle alone. Brew Monday is a reminder to check in on family, friends and colleagues not just on a Monday but any day of the week.”
Bournemouth’s branch of Samaritans is open seven days a week and is staffed by volunteers only to those who are struggling emotionally.
Calls can be made free of charge on 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org and a volunteer will be there to listen.
