PEOPLE interested in trying bowls have been invited to a free taster session at the East Dorset Indoor Bowls Club.
EDIBC have coaching courses especially designed for the beginner and the club will provide the bowls and shoes.
The club said: “Bowls is an inclusive sport and everybody should realise the benefits of playing.
“The rules are simple and after a short course most people will be able to bowl with confidence.
“Bowls is a sociable sport full of people looking to have fun, so it is a great way to relax and make new friends.
“Whatever your physique, bowls is a sport for all ages and it will help maintain fitness levels. It is a low-impact sport providing gentle exercise that can improve coordination and confidence.
“By increasing the level of endorphins in your body, exercise has been proven to boost physical and mental wellbeing.
“Bowls also has a social element and sense of community, which can also be a great mood booster and source of support.”
The taster sessions take place on January 22 and 23 at the bowls club in Stoney Lane South.
