A MAN has been ordered to pay compensation after a New Year's Eve criminal damage incident at a Royal British Legion club in Dorset.
James Collins, 39 and of Pluckley Road, Bethersden, appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates' Court on January 3 in relation to the alleged offence at the venue in High Street, Swanage, on December 31.
The defendant was accused of damaging a window estimated to be the value of £150 belonging to the Royal British Legion.
Collins pleaded guilty to criminal damage. Magistrates ordered him to pay £150 compensation, with no order for costs.
