The Covid booster effort has ramped up across the country.

And in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area, Saturday was the busiest day this month for Covid boosters.

On December 11, 3,593 boosters were given in the BCP area.

Previously, the highest day for boosters was November 27, when 4,269 were given.

In the BCP area, 735,659 people vaccinations have been given, with first doses at 305,962, second doses at 283,432 and 146,265 boosters.

The seven-day average has settled around 2169 doses.

The areas of BCP with the lowest vaccination numbers are Boscombe West where just 56.1% of people have received two vaccine doses.

In East Cliff, 58.1% have received two doses of the Covid vaccine.

Just over the county border, in the New Forest at Barton-on-Sea, 90% of residents have recieved two doses.

5,522 booster doses were given on that day.

Previously, the highest day was November 25, when 5,249 boosters were given.

In total in Dorset, 784,597 vaccinations have been given.

314,978 of this is first doses, 295,483 are second doses and 174,136 are boosters.
