TWO people from Preston have been handed £1,300 court bills for breaking Covid lockdown rules in Dorset.
Vamsi Krishna, 25, and of Jaipal Reddy Kandala, 27, were alleged to have been at Winfrith Newburgh on March 19 when strict restrictions were still in place.
Krishna and Kandala, both of the same address in Hall Street, Preston, were said to have left the place where they were living in Lancashire and been in Dorset without a reasonable excuse and other than permitted by the regulations.
The cases against both defendants were proved under the single justice procedure.
A magistrate sentenced the pair in a behind closed doors hearing at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, December 1.
Each defendant was fined £1,100 and ordered to pay a £110 surcharge and £90 costs.
