RUNNING a successful studio and gallery across two sites in your home town is likely to be a dream for any artist.

For Bournemouth-born Stuart Semple it became a reality this year.

Alongside his town centre studio, which is a base for his wide-ranging operation, Stuart launched gallery GIANT in Bobby's when it brought life back to the large former Debenhams site.

The 41-year-old recently sat down with the Daily Echo for an episode of The Echo Dispatch podcast series.

In conversation with chief reporter Jason Lewis, Stuart discussed the developing art scene in his home town, his route into the industry and what inspires his work.

He also talked about the dangers 'cancel culture' poses to the field and how he is excited about the next generation of artists.
