A MAN has been stabbed and other was hit by a car in a serious assault in Bournemouth

Detectives have launched an investigation into the incident that occurred on Thursday, December 2.

Dorset Police received a report at around 2.20pm of a disturbance in the area of Poole Hill, with reports that a man had been assaulted and stabbed.

Officers attended the scene and carried out a search of the area, but no victim was located.

Police later received a report that an 18-year-old man had attended hospital at 3.20pm that day with injuries to his leg and arm.

A further report was received that another 18-year-old man had been struck by a car and required hospital treatment.

Both have since been discharged from hospital and the incidents are considered to be linked.

Detective Constable Jo Poultney, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are carrying out a detailed investigation into this incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who may have information to assist our enquiries.

“I would urge any witnesses to come forward and would also ask motorists and residents in the area to check their dashcam or home CCTV footage for anything of relevance.”
