A MAN has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after he stole drugs from Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
Jimmy Burnett, aged 32, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court accused of theft and a section five Public Order offence.
Burnett, whose address was given as St Swithun's Road South, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to both offences when he was in the dock on November 17.
The court heard that the defendant stole antibiotics from the NHS hospital in Castle Lane East on October 24.
On the same day he also used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress.
Burnett was handed a 12-month community order for the theft with a requirement to carry out 60 hours unpaid work.
He was ordered to pay £50 compensation to the victim of the Public Order crime.
