A POOLE man has been ordered to carry out unpaid work by the courts after he harassed a woman over a period of more than two months.
Richard Anthony John Boyd, 36 and of Gillet Road, Poole, pleaded guilty to a single charge of harassment without violence.
Swindon Magistrates' Court heard that Boyd pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of the victim and which he knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her in Swindon between April 8 and June 24.
At a sentencing hearing on Thursday, November 18, the bench issued an 18-month community order, which required the defendant to take part in an accredited programme for 40 days, complete up to 40 rehabilitation activity requirements and carry out 40 hours of unpaid work.
Boyd was also handed a two-year restraining order not to contact the victim and told to pay a £95 surcharge and £45 costs.
