TWENTY years ago the pupils of a local school learned sign language for two very good reasons.
Youngsters from Oakmead College of Technology took on the task as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award course.
This also meant they could communicate more easily with fellow pupil Louise Allen who was accompanied to school each day by her sign tutor Katy Craben.
