A LEISURE centre was closed and part of Broadstone cordoned off after a suspicious package was found.
Police were called to The Junction Sports and Leisure Centre in Station Approach on Monday morning.
Members of the public were evacuated and the bomb disposal team called.

What happened?
Police received a report at 10.39am that an “unknown object” had been located on the tennis court at the Junction Sports and Leisure Centre on Station Approach in Broadstone.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said a cordon was put in place around the item for the safety of members of the public.
Officers closed the road at Station Approach.
People using the leisure centre were evacuated with some visitors taken in by Whittles restaurant as a place of shelter while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The Junction said this morning it would be closed until “further notice”.
What did the object look like?
Witnesses have described the suspicious package as having different coloured wires and a clock face.
Where was it found?
Martin Stockley, senior operations manager at the YMCA, said that one of the managers found a suspicious package between tennis courts two and three while checking the courts this morning.
What’s happened now?
A controlled explosion was carried out by the bomb disposal team at around 1.50pm on Monday afternoon.

The cordon has since been lifted.
