A MAN has appeared in court for driving a Vauxhall on a Dorset road without due care and attention.

The offence committed by Dean Hope, 49 and of Osborne Road, Wimborne Minster, was dealt with at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 19.

Hope, who was not present in court, had pleaded guilty to a single charge of driving a Vauxhall in Blandford Road, Sturminster Marshall, without due care and attention on April 21.

Magistrates issued the defendant with a £366 fine and endorsed his driving record with six points.

The bench also ordered the defendant to pay £110 costs and a £37 surcharge.
