THE fire service rescued 26 sheep from a flooded field in Dorset.
In the midst of the recent bad weather, not only were people affected but animals in rural areas of the county were too.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue teams were tasked with rescuing the stranded sheep earlier this week after a monumental downpour.
Firefighters from the wading teams in Newton and Blandford, assisted by Devon and Somerset Fire Service's animal rescue team, herded the 26 sheep into the rescue boat and took them back to dry land.
