Erasure bought their Neon tour to Bournemouth on Thursday night and put on a show that I will remember for years to come.

Taking to the stage to the theme tune from Joe 90 they spent the rest of the evening delivering a set of joyful tunes that had the entire venue singing and dancing along whilst they had the best night out.

Opening with Chorus, Hey Now and Fill Us With Fire, an immaculately dressed Vince Clark, a corseted Andy Bell and two neon wrapped vocalists set the joyful tone for the rest of the evening.

Andy’s vocals were spot on, the production and light show were absolutely brilliant delivering one of the best shows I have seen for a long time.

Throughout the gig Vince as ever remained stationary behind the keyboards with the occasional switch to guitar whilst Andy and the two vocalists moved from one neon lit podium to the other.

The songs came thick and fast with Blue Savannah, Chains of Love, Sometimes and Love To Hate You all put in an appearance as did a cover of The Eurythmics Love is a Stranger.

Between songs Andy engaged with the crowd with his bizarre thoughts on a number of topics much to their amusement.

After ending the main set with the popular Victim of Love the duo returned for a brief encore of Oh L’Amour followed one of my favourite songs of all time A Little Respect ending the show on a real high.

This night was a celebration of wonderful music with everyone leaving on a real high. Brilliant!
