FIREFIGHTERS were mobilised to deal with a large fire in Poole yesterday evening.
A crew from Poole Fire Station received calls at 7.10pm on Saturday October 16 regarding a fire in the open on Blakedene Road.
On arrival, members of the fire service saw the fire had engulfed a pile of grass cuttings.
A spokesman from the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A crew from Poole were in attendance at a large fire involving grass cuttings along Blakedene Road.
“Crews extinguished the fire using hay drags and hose reels.”
