Freddie Fowlds was revealed as the smallest baby in Poole when he was born at the end of May at 28 weeks, weighing only 2lb 7oz.

Having spent 18 weeks in both Poole and Southampton Hospital, little Freddie, who has chronic lung disease, was allowed to come home on Monday September 27, where he is on oxygen and ventilated at night.

Ralph Steven Ray Woodford was born on August 25 at Dorchester Hospital to Hannah Woodford, weighing 8lb15.5oz.

After struggling to find space at a hospital locally, Hannah is new relieved Ralph is home and well and getting along well with his older sister Evelyn.

Hannah said: “Poole maternity unit was so busy they could not have me in for my planned induction so ended up going to Dorchester for it.

“They then became busy and had to stop my induction process until they had more staff and rooms available.

“After four days of waiting in the hospital Ralph decided he didn't want to wait anymore and came naturally.”

Flint Terry Tavener was also born on August 25 at Poole Hospital to Laura Tavener.

Flint was born at 40 weeks and five days via emergency c-section at 11.19am after two rounds of IVF.
