Jake and Laddie

Bournemouth Echo: Jake and Laddie (Ashley Heath Animal Centre)Jake and Laddie (Ashley Heath Animal Centre)

Gender – Male

Age – 3 years old (approx.)

Breed – Lurcher crossbreed

Colour – Black and white

Jake and Laddie are looking for an adult only household with understanding owners, preferably those with knowledge of the breed and nervous behaviour.

They have lived quite a sheltered life, so are still a little afraid of the outside world, but are slowly improving.

Training will need to be continued in their new home and potential owners will need to allow them to progress at their own pace and not expect too much from them too soon.

A large enclosed garden with a minimum of 6ft fencing will be required to allow these boys to explore and have a good run around as they do particularly enjoy their offlead time.

Bella

Bournemouth Echo: Bella (Ashley Heath Animal Centre)Bella (Ashley Heath Animal Centre)

Gender - Female

Age – Two years old

Breed – Lurcher crossbreed

Colour – Tan

Bella is an affectionate dog, who enjoys lots of fuss and attention.

She does need time to get to know new dog friends, as can be reactive towards unknown dogs, but she is responding well to behavioural training at the centre.

Adopters would need to continue that training, and having an enclosed garden would also be useful.

Janice

Bournemouth Echo: Janice (Ashley Heath Animal Centre)Janice (Ashley Heath Animal Centre)

Gender – Female

Age – Two years old

Breed – Domestic shorthair crossbreed

Colour – Black

Janice is a slightly nervous cat, but she has been building up her confidence at the centre.

She will be looking for a quiet home where she will be the only pet and not to be rehomed with children younger than 13 years.

Additionally, she suffers from a condition called gingivo-stomatitis. This means that her gums and back of her mouth can get sore and inflamed. She has had most of her teeth removed which has helped the condition and is currently on medication which is controlling the condition well. She will need to stay on medication when she is rehomed which you will need to get from your own vet.
