POLICE investigating a ram-raid at a cycle store in Ferndown have issued CCTV images of a man they’d like to speak to.

Dorset Police received a report at around 3.30am on Friday, September 24, of a burglary at Pedal Cycle Stores in Ringwood Road.

It is reported that a black Hyundai Ioniq was driven into the premises and a man entered the store.

Two electric scooters were taken and loaded into the rear of the vehicle.

A further report was subsequently received that a black Hyundai Ioniq had been located on fire in Milhams Road in Bournemouth. The scooters have not been recovered.

Further enquires revealed the Hyundai had been stolen from an address in Ferndown during the early hours of Friday, September 24.

Detective Constable Michelle Lawrence, of Dorset Police’s Priority Crime Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of the suspect.

“I appreciate the man’s face cannot be seen clearly, but it may be someone is able to recognise him from the clothing he is wearing.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have come across electric scooters being offered for sale in unusual circumstances recently.”
