SHOWERS can be expected throughout the week as we wave goodbye to September and fall into autumn.

The outlook for the week is looking mild and unsettled with bouts of sunshine and grizzly rain at times.

Temperatures are expected to stay around the mid-teens with highs of 18C at the start of the week.

Both Tuesday and Thursday are expected to be the rainiest days with thick cloud and heavy rain predicted by the Met Office.

The rest of the week will be slightly drier with light rain each day. Looking ahead to the weekend the weather will be perfectly fine though it may be time to dig out your wellies.

Weather enthusiast Bournemouth and Poole Weather said: "After the first wet weather in six weeks autumn has finally arrived."
