Ron Dyson of Dorchester submitted three fascinating images of the former George Inn in the Cornmarket at Wimborne Minster which were taken from large format glass negatives collected by his late father Peter Dyson that had been gathering dust in his loft.
The name above the door is Douglas T Rising who is presumably the landlord in the pictures and although there is no exact date of when the photos were taken Ron thinks they were taken on the 1920s or 30s. What are your memories of the George Inn?
