A PEDESTRIAN sustained serious injuries in a crash in the New Forest this afternoon.
Police were called to reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on the A35 at 12.35pm on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and has been transported to hospital.”
The crash occurred between Lyndhurst and Holmsley and closed the road.
Hampshire Roads Policing Unit said on Twitter: “The road is currently closed in both directions. Please find a different route, local roads will be busy.”
