POLICE are appealing for help from the public to find a man who has travelled to Bournemouth, since he was last seen three weeks ago.

James Fields, aged 52 and also known as Berni Melotune, was reported missing to police in Cambridgeshire where he was last seen on Thursday 26 August 2021. Enquiries have shown that James has since travelled to Bournemouth.

He is described as white, five feet eight inches tall and of a thin build with a slightly drooped face on one side and grey hair that is described as messy. It is possible that he is unshaven and wearing glasses.

Inspector Matt Buller, of Bournemouth police, said: “Our enquiries are continuing to try and locate James and I would urge anyone who has seen him, or a man matching the description given, to please come forward.

“We are keen to find out where he is so we can check he is all right as we understand he may have a limited amount of required medication with him.

“I would also like to appeal directly to James if you see this – please make contact with us and let us know where you are as we just want to make sure you are OK.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to James’ whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55210149558.
