A GROUP of travellers located in Kings Park have been given a 24-hour eviction notice by BCP Council.
The current set of caravans and other vehicles have been on site since last week.
A BCP Council spokesperson said: “The group that is currently on site at Kings Park will be given a 24-hour eviction notice and they will be asked to leave the site by Thursday evening/Friday morning.
They added: “The group in question has been onsite since September 3.”
Prior to this, the presence of different travellers in the area resulted in the cancellation of two instalments of the Bournemouth Parkrun which is held every Saturday.
After the cancellation in late August, Ward councillor Lawrence Williams said he was "very upset" about the encampment and felt "useless" as he was not able to help.
