A MAN was airlifted to hospital after his tractor, which was towing a slurry tanker, overturned.
Police, ambulance, air ambulance and firefighters all raced to help the casualty on Drones Lane, Compton Abbas at 10.34am on September 6.
Two fire crews from Shaftesbury, along with a crew from Sturminster Newton and Blandford were sent, but on arrival said the driver was already free from his cab.
The crews assisted paramedics with moving the casualty for transportation to hospital.
The injured man was airlifted to hospital where he is said to be recovering.
Police said that the What3Words app played an important role in getting emergency services where they were needed as quickly as possible.
A spokesman for North Dorset Police said: "Thankfully the casualty was able to be flown to hospital where they are recovering."
