A SMALL business owner from Poole is raising money for Poole RNLI by holding a bumper raffle full of great prizes.
Emily Turpin, owner of Star Dust and Moon Beams Sleepovers has joined forces with Letty's Sweets & Treats and Cakes and Crumbs to generate support and funds for the charity.
All three businesses are offering a variety of prizes, from a sleepover package to a sweet platter.
Emily said: "Since the end of July I started following Poole RNLI on their Facebook page. I have been spending time at the beach with my children in the summer and I know how important it is support them.
"One day I was thinking ‘how can I raise money for the RNLI to help people stay safe in the water?’ and I came up with the raffle.
"I think it is so important to help to help raise awareness. I have learnt something myself and have taught my children about water safety."
Emily, at the time of writing this article, has sold 30 tickets for the raffle and only has 20 more to sell to reach her 50 ticket target.
The raffle will run until all of the tickets have sold, with a provisional end date of September 19 in place.
Emily said: "I want to raise £250 for Poole RNLI. I recently became a local ambassador for the RNLI and I now include safety leaflets in all my packages.
"The winner will receive: Two Tents Sleepover package with a choice of theme for two nights hire, two RNLI Finley teddies and two buckets and spades to keep from me.
"Letty's Sweets and Treats have included two leaflets for children on how to stay safe in the water from the RNLI, a sweet platter and two popcorn cones.
"And Cakes and Crumbs has donated one Treat Box, which includes four sugar biscuits, six candyfloss flavoured fudge pieces and little sweets.
"Whoever wins this will be very happy. I wanted to make it more special.
"Every person who enters will receive 25 percent off a sleepover package if they want to book with me in the future.
"Prize winners have 12 months to use the prize and must be in a 15 mile radius of Poole."
