COULD an 'Indian summer' really be on the cards for us in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole?

The weather so far this year has been pretty temperamental so predicting a long-range forecast for something as joyous as an 'Indian summer' might be a bit unrealistic but one thing is for sure - this week we will have a few very hot days indeed.

Forecaster Dorset Sun said we will have two very warm days this week and predicts we're unlikely to have weather like this again in the year so make the most of it if you can.

For the next two days temperatures will be in the mid to late 20s with some rainfall forecast for the end of the week.

For the rest of today, Monday, September 6, we can expect to see wall-to-wall sunshine with highs of 24C.

This evening will be bright and clear with the temperature feeling around 20C this evening.

Local weather enthusiast Bournemouth and Poole weather said: "Patchy mist and fog in places to start but a dry, warm and sunny day ahead. Light winds, maybe an afternoon sea breeze & top temps 25-27C."

Tomorrow will be another day of epic sunshine with the morning starting off bright and clear - something we expect for the whole day.

Tuesday will see highs of 26C and there will only be moderate wind so it will still feel nice and hot.

Heavy showers are possible on Wednesday and Thursday with a risk of thunder which should clear to reveal sunny spells on Friday with further showers.

Looking towards the weekend it's likely to get cooler with temperatures hovering around 20C though feeling more like 14C.
