A WOMAN with a long history of offences has been jailed for her latest series of criminality.
Lauren Velkoop admitted stealing £30 worth of meat from Tesco and assaulting a man by beating him in Bournemouth on April 9.
The 30-year-old, of Sterte Close, Poole, also pleaded guilty to handling stolen baby clothing belonging to Next and stealing meat and washing liquid to the value of £42.25 belonging to Tesco on May 1.
Appearing at Poole Magistrates’ Court on August 26, Velkoop was committed to prison for 12 weeks.
The bench noted the seriousness of the offences due to the defendant’s record for similar offences of dishonesty and that she was due to be recalled.
Velkoop was ordered to pay £200 compensation to the victim of the assault.
