Section of Wimborne Road closed after woman collapses
POLICE have closed a section of Wimborne Road in Winton after a woman fell in the road.
The closure is between Cardigan Road and Withermoor Road.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "We received a report at 9.15am that a woman had fallen in the road and required medical treatment in Wimborne Road in Bournemouth.
"Officers attended and provided assistance to members of the public who were providing first aid and the ambulance service was notified.
"Road closures have been put in place as emergency services deal with the incident."
As of 11am, police officers were on the scene but an ambulance could not be seen in attendance at that time.
