A BOURNEMOUTH road will close for nearly three weeks in September to allow for electrical connection works.
BCP Council confirmed in a public notice that Southbourne Lane East would close to all vehicles from September 6 until September 24.
The notice said: “Southbourne Lane East, closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time, from its junction with Grand Avenue.
“Northern side of Beech Avenue, no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time, adjacent to property number 8.”
The council said electrical connection works were being carried out by E S Pipelines Ltd.
Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.
A diversion will be in place via Grand Avenue and Pine Avenue.
The notice added: “These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations.
“Restrictions may be in effect under this order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the secretary of state.”
