A BOY was in and out of consciousness during a reported assault and robbery in Bournemouth.

Detectives have launched an investigation in relation to the incident, which took place at around 9pm on Thursday, August 26.

The victims, two teenage boys, were in Beaufort Park when a reported altercation occurred involving three men.

Dorset Police said it was reported that a set of moped keys and a moped were stolen, but it had since been recovered.

During the incident, one of the boys was reportedly assaulted. He was unconscious at times and sustained injuries that required medical treatment.

A 21-year-old man from Christchurch and a 24-year-old man from Bournemouth have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault. They are both assisting officers with their enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Karen Penn, of Dorset Police’s Priority Crime Team, said: “Our investigation into this incident is underway and a number of enquiries are ongoing.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the park and may have witnessed what happened to please come forward.”
