FOUR people had to be rescued from the water after they were thrown into the sea from two jet skis towing inflatables.
A coastguard team was called to the Mudeford Quay area to assist with the incident at around 6pm on Thursday, August 26.
Personal safety advice was given to the causalities after they were checked over on dry land.
A spokesperson for Southbourne Coastguard said: "Tasked at 6.05pm by the joint rescue coordination centre to Mudeford Quay after reports from a concerned member of the public that there were four persons that were thrown into the sea from two jet skis towing inflatables.
"Once on scene RNLI Mudeford lifeboat had recovered the casualties and personal watercraft to the public slipway after checking they were okay.
"We liaised with the casualties to further check over and ascertain what had happened. We then passed on appropriate safety advice.
"With no further coastguard assistance required the team were stood down. Lymington Coastguard also tasked as technical backup but stood down enroute."
