Chris Colledge, Chairman of Bournemouth In Bloom, said: "We are delighted to have received so many entries. This competition is aimed at enjoyment and sharing images of beautiful plants.

"Because of the uncertainties of Covid, this year’s competition is via photograph and we have no prizes or trophies, though there will be certificates for everyone who enters.

"Entries will be posted on the Bournemouth In Bloom website for everyone to see following the announcement of the results later in the year.

You can also enter a public park that you think is looking particularly beautiful, or a hotel with a nice garden, or the hanging baskets at your local café or pub.

There is also a special category for trees and entries are not limited to what is in your garden.

The competition is open to all Bournemouth residents and participants only have to submit one photograph for each category entered.
