THREE enterprising school friends have been making and selling bracelets to fundraise for NHS Charities Together.
Christchurch Junior School students Lilia, Emma and Isabella, all aged 10, have raised £50 for the charity after selling their handmade bracelets.
Emma's mum, Victoria Norman said: "The girls kept asking to do fundraisers for the NHS so we decided that the summer holidays was the best time to do something as they could sell things safely.
"Emma, Lilia and Isabella decided to make loom band and bead bracelets in aid of NHS Charities Together as we know a lot of people who work for the NHS.
"They walked round Christchurch Quay asking parents if their children would like to buy a handmade bracelet for 50p or £1.
"The idea has been there since the start of this year, and hopefully this is just the start for them in their charity journey."
The three friends hope to continue their fundraising efforts by selling more bracelets over the bank holiday weekend.
Victoria said: "They have a list of other charities they want to do fundraisers for, such as Julia's House, as well as Christmas fundraisers for their school.
"The girls did it all themselves. It has been quite a good experience for them and they raised £50, which has been transferred to the charity.
"This amount is a really good start and they didn’t really have a target. They just wanted to raise whatever could to help the people who have been working long hours."
