ALMOST 400 Covid cases have been recorded across Dorset in the past day.
The latest Government figures reveal that 397 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on Monday, August 23.
A total of 188 cases have been confirmed in the Dorset Council area bringing the total number of cases overall to 20,286.
During the same seven day period, 1,349 cases have been recorded across the Dorset Council area, at a rate of 355.2.
Elsewhere, in the BCP Council area 209 cases have been recorded, taking its total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 39,893.
In the past seven days, 1,651 cases have been seen across the BCP Council area giving a rate of 415.9 per 100,000 people
Further afield in the New Forest, 57 new cases have been recorded. This has taken its total recorded since the start of the pandemic to 10,081.
There have been 479 cases in the last seven days in the New Forest with a rate of 265.5.
