NIGHT-time venues in Bournemouth have received anti drink spiking kits as part of police crackdown.
During police patrols as part of Operation Vigilant, officers handed out packs to restaurants and nightclubs in Bournemouth town centre on Sunday August 22.
Operation Vigilant was launched last week, with both uniformed and plain clothed officers carrying out patrols of the town centre in a bid to crackdown on incidents involving sexual offences.
A police spokesman said: “Officers were out in Bournemouth Town Centre as part of Project Vigilant targeting perpetrators of sexual violence in the night-time economy.
“As part of this we engaged with various licensed premises and gave out anti drink spiking packs for use in their venues.
“Everyone deserves a safe and fun night, and we are here to ensure that happens.”
