RINGWOOD will host its first ever ECO fair next month to raise awareness on climate change and sustainability.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Ringwood and Ringwood Actions for Climate Emergency (RACE), the ECO fair will see a mixture of workshops, stalls, guest speakers and a create your own ECO hero attraction for children.

Mary DeBoos from RACE said: “Due to Covid-19 it feels like we have been planning forever. We are excited to finally have the opportunity to share hints, tips and knowledge with the people of the Ringwood area to help everyone do a little bit to help tackle climate change.

“This is especially important in light of the latest news about the speed of the change we are seeing.”

The ECO fair will be held on Saturday September 11 from 10.30am at the Furlong and outside the Gateway Building close to Ringwood car park and the bus stops.

The fair will be accompanied by talks in the Ringwood Meeting House from 1pm with tea and coffee available.
